Jan 2014 - Apr 2015Social media internI wrote weekly articles for the Wallspin Blog such as how-tos, editorials and human interest pieces relating to art and profiles of guest curators. I also managed social media: For Twitter, I posted original tweets daily, retweeting others throughout the day and created hashtags and contests for followers. For Pinterest, I found guest pinners, pinned about 150 pins a week, created new boards and generated ideas to get followers and created a content strategy for future interns. In my time there I doubled their Pinterest followers. I also cultivated non-traditional social media like Houzz. Show less

Fox school of business at temple university
Aug 2014 - Jul 2015Writing tutorTo get this position, you must submit an essay and take a 100 question grammar test on which you can get no more than three questions wrong. I edited undergraduate and graduate level papers for business studies teaching them brevity, flow, and persuasion along with grammar. Selected Highlights: ● Because of my clear, engaging tutoring style, nearly every appointment I had was booked. I was most booked by ESL students who had trouble understanding American writing standard. I used metaphor and examples to articulate the difference between French or Chinese writing styles. My overall tutor rating was a 4.7 out of 5 based on client surveys. ● After working at the tutoring center for a year, the director of the Business Communication Center chose me to edit her resume out of the 10 editors that work there. Mingl marketing group
Aug 2015 - Dec 2015Digital marketing specialist & content writerMingl was a new company supported by Hubspot. I created social media content, blog posts and managed two Mingl clients. Because it was a startup, the company allowed me to explore my ideas and think outside of the box using inbound marketing. Selected highlights: I was mainly focused on an air conditioner and heating company, ECI comfort and the content was meant to appeal to clients. Previously, the company focused on articles like “Winter Proofing Your Home” and “Top Ten Mistakes in Putting in a Window Unit.” I pitched and wrote a story on a civil war era home where the company had recently upgraded the air conditioner system. The story focused on the history and quirks of the house with snippets of the upgrade. This was an engaging and project-specific approach that directly targeted future clients as opposed to the broad topics they had been focusing on. Show less
