I was required to assign roles within my team which reflected each person’s best qualities, and faced the challenges of leading various different personalities.       OTR are a mental health charity offering mental health services to and aiming to protect the social position of young people. My role as a Peer Navigator revolves around meeting and talking to young people at OTR’s weekly drop-in ‘hubs’, fostering a fun, inclusive, safe and welcoming environment. This commonly includes playing facilitating a range of games/activities, taking part in group discussions, and most importantly helping young people feel a sense of belonging/community. Raising my confidence and self-worth have been welcome benefits in this role, which continues to challenge me every week. Show less
