      To manage & co-ordinate construction projects at Ipswich Hospital that meets the vision of the Trust to provide improved facilities for patients and staff. Being involved from inception through design, feasibility, detailed designs, user integration, tendering, cost analysis, business case submissions, implementation, completion and occupation, together with evaluations. The schemes have included Ward refurbishments, creation of new in-patient and out-patient services, extensions, internal alterations, departmental moves and associated building works, asbestos abatement works (including removal and reinstatement) and fire improvements works. Liaising with stakeholders, whilst also deputising for Head of Capital Development. Directing external consultants, contractors, suppliers and partners to ensure all parties understand the scheme and the needs of the hospital are met throughout and on completion of the project. Chair meetings and produce minutes. Assess the operational impact of the project and consider best practices to ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum. Prepare and issue specification documents for pricing and analyses thereof. Liaising and negotiating with consultants and contractors to ensure good value, best programme, minimal impact and good quality is achieved. Provide technical support and expert advise as required to all levels of personnel in relation to construction, space occupation, planning needs, and recommendations on health and safety issues. Assess and develop project feasibilities, programmes and elements for business case development. Control and review project finances.
