Presented a new strategic plan to make the organization financially stable.Developed a three-tier approach to fundraising. The first step increased revenue from current fundraising techniques. The second step developed a grant writing plan that brought in an additional $50,000 annually. The third step broadened the fundraising strategies to include direct mail and person-to-person contact with high-end donors resulting in an increase of$450,000 to the operating budget within one year. Created a mental health crisis center by working with the United States Rehabilitation Association that assists veterans and their families in times of stress. Developed a retention/motivational plan that included volunteer incentives for hours served and recruiting new volunteers resulting in a 40% increase in volunteerism. Negotiated out of a contract with a fundraiser that was not acting in the organization's best interests.
