      The department has three main operational areas, compliance, quality improvement and the regulatory function. The compliance/auditing function involves confirming eligibility, and ensuring contractual and financial compliance for government funded contracts (JCP, SFA, DWP and ESF) contracts to the values of hundreds of thousands of pounds. I also have responsibility for the standards and integrity of evidence as well as due diligence and anti-fraud analysis. The quality assurance aspect of the role involves implementing and co-ordinating a plan, do, review quality framework. A number of processes are required, monitoring, assessment and review of delivery to promote a quality improvement cycle. Working directly with senior management to co-ordinate the l self assessment report (SAR) process. I have also successfully project managed on the retaining of the matrix standard for the organisation for three cycles.The regulatory role incorporates the review and update of organisational policy. I often use my legal training to review source statue and ensure the organisation maintains compliance to it legal obligations. Examples include, writing a workshop to rollout and understanding of the Caldicott principles for frontline staff. I have the responsibility of leading on data protection issues, acting as data protection officer, the records retention officer and providing specialist advice of complex data protection issues, e.g consent and data sharing.*I have served on an oversight committee for the trustees to conduct impact analysis.*I am the lead officer responsible for Subject Access Requests and data breach investigation.*I am the principle risk assessor for the organisation, using ALARP and Cost based assessments.*I project lead on implementing an ISMS to the standard of ISO 27001. Show less As the NVQ Centre Coordinator, I was responsible for managing the vocational department’s operations and also had line management responsibilities for a number of the assessment and internal verification team. As an active internal verifier, I was also in a client facing role, dealing with customers and learners in a customer service context. As the centre’s vocational QAC, I was responsible for developing and maintaining the department’s quality strategy. I also had performance management responsibilities and I was the main contact for the all of the awarding organisations that LifeLine had accreditation with. I was responsible for all new qualification roll outs, managing the set up process, up to the commencement of delivery of the new qualification and verification of the first cohort of learners.       Data Protection Officer

      As the DPO, I assisted in the development of risk based approach for GDPR standard data processing requirements. I have reviewed the legal bases for processing personal data across the organisation and devised and conducted a data audit to determine and evidence data processing activities for each department. I have also led in the re-writing of the organisational policy, procedures and processes necessary to roll out GDPR compliance.
