  • Perform the collection of cuttings samples from the proper laged depths.• Perform the washing and screening of samples , the correct apportioing of reliably labelled geological samples and packing by sets.• perform various laboratory techniques to analyse samples ex. Calicmetery test.• Examine , describe and record samples as per industry standars.• Make detailed measurments , anaylsis , interpertation and records of the geology and oil and gas shows, sensors measurments.• Perform that the mud log , drilling log ,LWD log , Gas log are accurate and comprehensive.• Perform the close monitoring and validation of gas levels , lag time , drilling mud and drilling parameters with Real-time monitoring and reporting any anomalies to the appropriate persons for immedate action.• Monitor of tripping and casing operations and cross check the theoretical and actual mud returns correspond to expected well behavior.• Perform and submit accurate daily reports concerning geological and drilling parametrs and the relevant section of the mud log and Prepare a geological summary in the final well report.• Perform Rig-up and Rig-down the mud logging unit and all equipments and sensors as required , conforming to the scope of work in a safe manner.• Perform the regular and frequent calibration check of gas and monitoring instruments.• Assist and perform normal maintenance and necessary repairs on all equipment , particularly gas instrumnts , hook height, pit levels , H2S , draw work , pump strokes , SPP , RPM and mud flow sensors.• Perform sensors calibration records availability for audits.• Trainee to HSE induction and qualified to deal with H2S.
