  In the summer of 2016 I participated in a short-term exchange organized by Rotary International. I stayed with a host family in Seattle, Washington, United States for three weeks and afterwards my exchange partner came back to The Netherlands with me and stayed with me and my family for another three weeks.

  As a member of the First Year Committee, I helped organize informal and formal activities for first year International Business Administration students at Tilburg University. The activities were aimed to improve social cohesion among first year students and for them to get familiar with the study association Asset IBM. As informal activities we organized the First Year activity, a cantus, a themed party and a BBQ. As a formal event we organized "Parents Day". During this day, parents could experience a day in the life of a student by following lectures and a campus tour. Show less

  As secretary of the Activities Committee at Asset IBM, I am responsible for writing the minutes during our meetings and to make sure everyone has read them before the next meeting.Besides this, together with my fellow committee members, I help to organize informal activities for all active members of the study association. These activities include a Christmas and cycling dinner, a weekend away, and an end of year activity.

  Responsible for the financial affairs within the committee. Together with my committee members I will organise activities for children in Tilburg who are less fortunate, whether this is due to poverty or a physical disability. The goal is to put them in the spotlight for a day so they can forget their worries. Examples of activities are games and sport days and something extra during the holidays.

  Outreaching honors student

  Member of the Outreaching Honors Program at Tilburg University. The program is focused on three interrelated pillars: leadership, collaborative interactions and social entrepreneurship. As part of the program I am working on a project for "Bèkske, Rwandan Empowerment Coffee". This is a start up company that sells specialty coffee to empower women in Rwanda who survived the genocide. Together with my group members I am helping the company with their online marketing and upscaling their sales.

During this night several speakers from interesting companies will give background information about their advertising campaigns and commercials.
