  I have successfully managed a multimillion USD portfolio of disaster risk reduction, livelihoods and health focusing comprehensive resilience building at rural and urban community level. I have led a team of five senior officer who used to provide technical support to the implementation team. With my technical support 97 community governance committees were formed and trained across 97 communities in the coastal districts of Bangladesh. Communities were motivated and mobilized to establish meeting and information center in their individual communities. My core responsibilities were to ensure efficient and effective program management support to implementing partners to complete the Vulnerability to Resilience (V2R) projects in five districts and one city corporation. V2R Urban project implemented in Barishal City Corporation was first of its kind that focuses resilience building in urban areas. Show less

  I am responsible for managing approx. USD 3 million Coastal Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Program (long-term development program for disaster risk reduction in coastal areas of Bangladesh) of American Red Cross, Bangladesh Delegation. In my role I have to lead program management, partnership management and budget administration. Besides I have to support the resource mobilization and policy advocacy team. My responsibility also includes manage a Quick Action Fund of USD 50,000/year for emergency response. In 2021 I have successfully managed to provide emergency support through multi-purpose cash grant among 1000 flood affected households Lalmonirhat, Bangladesh. One of key achievements is to include DRR-focused and climate-smart livelihood interventions for disadvantaged/poor households through Cash for Training and till now the program has covered 1500 disadvantaged women. Another achievement of my role is to replicate community based DRR model to government structure i.e., replicating community disaster management committee with Ward Disaster Management Committee of local government to ensure sustainability and mainstreaming process. With my leadership Coastal DRR Program scaled a new height. Show less
