  Joining the Army in 1982 as an Armor Crewman, I served with the 3rd Armored Division and then with the storied 82nd Airborne Division. I went on to serve as a Primary and Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Leadership instructor. I was then detailed to serve as an Army Recruiter and went on to serve as a Station Commander, a Guidance Counselor, Senior Guidance Counselor, First Sergeant and then to the Headquarters of the US Army Recruiting Command. I served as the Chief, Plans and Doctrine, a field grade position with some outstanding NCO's working with me. I was directly responsible for the training of every Field Grade Officer in the command who served as a Battalion or Brigade Commander or as a Battalion or Brigade Executive Officer. I was responsible for the Command's Annual Leader Conference for five years. This event brought to an outside venue, every leader in the command to include some 60 Colonels and Lieutenant Colonels, 60 Command Sergeants Major, 30 Senior Staff as well as the Secretary of the Army, Chief of Staff of the Army, Sergeant Major of the Army and other Senior Army Staff Officers. Originally from Maryland, I joined the Army in 1982 and served as a Tank Crewman and then Commander on three separate Armor platforms and finished my career at FT Knox, the birthplace of all Armor and Cav for decades. During my more than two decades of time in uniform, and while a member of the storied 82nd Airborne Division, I made more than 500 parachute jumps out of fixed wing, rotary wing and even a balloon or two. After serving in the United States Army and another dozen years working in the Defense industry, my wife and I made the choice of getting back to helping people achieve their dreams.
