      My role as a developer involved maintaining the existing vended system and the development of the Accounts and Internal Control Systems. All software was written in VAX Basic and Cobol hosted on DEC VAX architecture. IFAC operated a software bureau service for the IFA (Irish Farmers Association) and through this I became solely responsible for the IFA Membership System.

The QFAS application was written in InterSystems Mumps/Caché hosted on a DEC VAX infrastructure.

I was Technical Lead on two major upgrades of MFGI, moving from version 3.9 to 4.5 and 4.5 to 5.0. Both projects were delivered on schedule and within budget. I had specific responsibility for coordinating the IT infrastructure to host the application and integrating satellite applications. This involved working with global multi-disciplinary internal IT teams, business teams and the vendor.
