The primary goal of the program is to gain hands on experience in the various aspects of underground coal mining and develop oneself as a leader.

Continuous improvement has been a constant feature due to recent coal market conditions.In recent months I have stepped into the Mine Services Superintendent role for holiday coverage as well as the D&B Supervisor role during the transition to a Peabody down the hole blast crew. Providing drill and blast advice to iron ore operations in the Pilbara. Started this role with an ikon™ trial at BHP Mining Area C. Helped in the transition of suppliers at Roy Hill, providing onsite support and executed a WebGen™ blast trial. Technical support for North Bowen Basin coal mines. Provided advice for several operations, performed misfire investigations and spent a large part of my time as a seconded Drill and Blast Engineer to BMC at both Poitrel and South Walker Creek.
