    • Bahr and kolsky

      Dec 1968 - Dec 1970
      Partner

Since Mr. Bahr was extremely ill at the time he invited me to join his firm and become his Partner, I took on his practice which included, but was not limited to: 1. I continued to work on my own cases as he'd asked me to, but our understanding was for me to help him in his overload of cases as well, which he would have to literally teach me how to process them because of their complex nature. And yet, despite my many requests to assist him, I found he was far too ill to so much as lift his head from his desk. After his death (exactly one year later and on his 58th birthday) it was then that I realized his trust in me, his well-planned confidence in me that I would be able to process his cases, despite that he had not had the time or stamina to explain them to me. 2, Mr, Bahr's cases were primarily Complex Title Litigation such as Foreclosures of tax certificates issued to each Municipality (a/k/a In Rem Foreclosures), Foreclosures of tax certificates issued to numbers of Private Persons by any one Municipality (a/k/a In Personem Foreclosures), Quiet Title Actions, Boundary Line Disputes, Execution of Docketed Judgments, Partition Actions, Seeking Declaratory Judgments in Adverse Possession Proceedings and Litigation and Conveyances as Affected by Intervening Bankruptcies.3. I further represented such clients as: Bankruptcies - both Chapters 7 (full bankruptcies) & 11 (reorganizations), Tort Actions, Equity Matters, Criminal Defense of Misdemeanors & Felonies ranging from - Atrocious Assault & Battery cases, Auto Thefts, "Joyriding" cases where the defendant had no intent to keep the vehicles, Deceitful Business Practices, Attempted Murder, Manslaughter matters and (of note: only one Rape case - in which I had made certain the Defendant had been truthful in his account to me.) Company owner

As a retired attorney I've been a business consultant since 1966 - among many other things. During my pre-retirement practice, and in this position as appointed by various United States Bankruptcy Court Judges, and in Chapter 11 cases, I've run every business from small to large to manufacturers during which time my responsibilities were to oversee inventory control, continuing advertising and marketing, personnel, creditors seeking payments, hiring accountants and other professionals, as well as seeing to the proper working order of various machineries in those cases involving manufacturing companies.I reported directly to each Judge who appointed me as well as both the company's bankruptcy counsel and counsel for the creditor's committee.Numerous private clients also sought out my assistance in advising them at both the start-up phase of a new business, as well as when their ongoing business required either a re-freshening by way of new marketing techniques, obtaining new funding or when that business began failing.
