      I worked as a research assistant in the department of Neuroscience at the University of Bristol. Patients who have dystonia have involuntary movements or 'ticks'. By sending vibrations at the right instance (vibrotactile stimulation), it is possible to alleviate those muscular contractions. To know when to send the vibrations, the brain's electrical signals are recorded using an EEG and analyzed. As part of a team, we managed to write a modular code in Python which could record, analyze, and generate a soundwave at the zero-crossing points of the wave for different channels. We used different EEGs and platforms, mainly ANT Neuro (eego) and Delsys. Show less

      Helped develop a method for investigating microcracking fracture toughness on Carbon Epoxy and PEEK composite materials given by the National Composites Centre through imaging and acoustic emission (AE). Learned how to bag and layup composites from scratch, as well as cut, polish, and tab samples suitable for a tensile test following procedures recommended by the BCI.Helped develop a camera setup which managed to increase the final quality of the image by using Python's cv2 stitching algorithm.
