  Worked on purifying an immunomodulatory protein in E. coli for the purpose of creating better biomaterials for medical implants. CD200 is a naturally expressed protein that inhibits macrophage activation. As a protein engineer for the lab, I created an E. coli expression system to produce biotinylated CD200 to coat biomaterials.
