This consisted of working closely with a group of five peers in elaborating on a risk assessment framework for IoT (internet of things) devices. My job for this framework was to gather sample IoT devices and catalog their known vulnerabilities, and potential threats that could exploit them based on where they are commonly used. Along with this, I was in charge of writing the retail case study within the framework, using IoT devices such as internet enabled card readers, mobile transaction devices, smart panels inside stores, and other in-shop IoT devices that collect user data and information and are also internet enabled that could be potential vulnerability vectors for threats to exploit.
