Being a core member in the cultural club, learned about handling time crunching and budget restricted situations while being under resourced. Learned about various building materials and the different construction techniques. Introduced to different streams which fall under civil engineer like water resource engineering, design and detailing of the steel and concrete structures, geotechnical and foundation engineering etc.

  Activities and Societies: Research and Teaching Assistant: Conducted research and assisted my professor, Dr. G. K. Pothal and maintained lab equipment, explained about different experiments and monthly exams on geotechnical engineering for undergraduate students My bachelor's degree training helped me understand that a building longevity depends on strong foundation. This made me choose geotechnical engineering as my specialization. My research topic was " Experimental study on strength behavior of pond-ash reinforced with non-woven coir fiber discs". I chose this topic as it intrigued me as to how we can use waste product instead of using naturally found soil which is limited, for construction purposes.
