Constructing Excellence South-West Delivering Value Award 2024 Constructing Excellence South West Jul 2024 "[St Bernadette's RFC] is the project that we considered the most value compared to the project budget and had the biggest impact on the wider community. As well as the statistics presented, the judges were impressed with the impact the project provided on a deprived community. During the project support was provided to community kitchens and foodbanks, a police-led intervention scheme in local schools was sponsored, nutrition and youth schemes were funded. The project has also left a legacy of apprentices in bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing and electricians in the local area and has brought life back to a site that had been abandoned and the focus of antisocial behaviour since 2011." - James Bromley, Commercial Director Bylor & Laing O'Rourke, and CESW Awards 2024 Judge.
