Lead lifeguard (2019); acting lead of seven staff members when lead guard was not on shift (2018). Interacted with all ages from young children through adults for normal swim and multiple special events including private parties of over 150 adults and/or children. Enforced safety and discipline, kept schedules and met all scheduled hours. In four seasons of successful pool supervision, no serious incidents occurred. Conducting the physician requested testing procedures, creating samples in the correct format for each machine, interoperating machine graphs and displays to confirm or deny pathogen presence. Clean and calibrate test equipment as needed.DutiesConduct DNA amplification process, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) – prepare samples for, conduct, and interpret PCR tests to identify a wide variety of common pathogens that infect the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and urinary tract. Prevent cross contamination within test equipment and perform frequent decontamination for lab worker safety. Data entry – enter HIPPA protected patient information into the LabDaq database along with required tests. Continuously add test results as they are complete into the LabDaq system for patients’ physicians to view. Process outgoing samples (both data and physical sample) and request tests from a third-party lab. Prepare outsourced testing for multi-lab distribution utilizing sample subdivision techniques as required. Pack and secure ship toxicology specimens to prevent sample spoilage or rejection by the receiving lab. Conduct Quality Control of received samples. Evaluate for correct data, billing, sample integrity, or justify rejecting the customers lab service request on spoiled samples. Perform A1c tests, SARS-Covid 2019 antibody tests, and dipstick urinalyses as needed and prepare bacterial cultures from wound swabs and urine one blood/MacConkey agar plates. Show less
