Notable accomplishments include:• Reevaluated the steps involved in hiring new officers to expedite the process; successfully reduced the new hire process by a month, thereby creating a competitive hiring advantage. • Created a “Recruitment Team” of auxiliary officers to supplement the full-time Recruiter; the team attends job fairs and assists with interviews. The creation and implementation of this team led to three consecutive hiring classes that were twice the average of previous hiring classes.• Ensures new officers understand the importance of community engagement through participation with Alexandria organizations such as Meals on Wheels and the local homeless shelter.
