  As Purchasing Manager of West Coast, I am in charge of the flow of inventory in 6 different plants. I am responsible for building relationships with key vendors and creatively finding new vendors to grow programs. My responsibility is to negotiate with all vendors to ensure profitability is at its highest. The Buyer – MDF & Solid Wood is responsible for the procurement of goods to match the monthly supply plan through the implementation of company purchasing agreements as well as spot negotiation as directed. Other areas of responsibility include maintaining supplier relationships, shared ownership of margin, supply forecasting, and work in the IBP process. Additionally this position is involved with Supply Chain, cross-functional teams and projects. Account reps' key responsibilities are to ensure customer needs are taken care of. As a senior account rep I am responsible for all of Oregon and the top 5 customers in WA. Each day I am helping solve problems under high stress and saving our customers many headaches along the way. Each day presents a different opportunity but throughout each day I am dealing with logistics, price negotiations, relationship building and most importantly coaching and leading my team.
