      Mar 2005 - Nov 2016
      Executive director

As the leader of Tahoe SAFE Alliance, a domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse non-profit organization we provided a host of direct services to community members including legal information. We also provided violence prevention education to adults and children in all the public and private schools. As the Executive Director, I had a talented and passionate staff of 25. This organization is located in two states and three counties which always made everything more challenging. I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of this organization including: leadership and program development, collaboration, all fiscal aspects including grant writing and fundraising and human resources. This was a challenging position which I embraced. This organization became a thriving nonprofit that is well respected throughout the entire region and with the implementation of a successful succession plan continues to thrive under their new leadership. • Tahoe youth & family services

      Jan 2018 - Mar 2022
      Executive director

I was hired at Tahoe Youth & Family Services due to my many years of experience running nonprofit organizations, 28 years. My first year as the Executive Director was fraught with many challenges that made me stronger and more determined. However, with those challenges came many exciting opportunities. As we moved forward, with a strong passionate board of directors, huge progress in rebuilding Tahoe Youth happened. We continue to look to the future with improving our program effectiveness, financial stability and developing a more sophisticated infrastructure. Tahoe Youth & Family Services expanded our community impact by developing new organizational leaders and by collaborating with partners through joint policy and advocacy efforts and building strategic alliances to create greater community change. Board training, succession planning, creating a strategic plan and developing a vision and values for the organization was just a few of the many changes that were made during my four-years as the Executive Director.
