  In the context of the project entitled "Catalytic isomerization of C8 aromatics: what impact of the zeolite structure?, the following tasks have been accomplished:• Treatment of a great number zeolites and their characterization according to different techniques: XRD, XRF, 27Al NMR, N2 physisorption, FT-IR pyridine, CO adsorption, STEM• Ethylcyclohexane hydroisomerization in a catalytic hydrotreatment unit and in a high throughput unit.• Molecular modeling; Ab-initio calculations with a static approach on different zeolite structures. Geometry optimizations, frequency and thermodynamic calculations.• Kinectic approach from experiencen and ab-initio calculations towards the construction of a microkinetic model.• Skills acquisition such as teamwork, open-mindedness, ability to communicate, decision-making, organization of research tasks, ability to work under stressful situations.
