Under the CEO, I managed the Elections Support Management Team while managing a budget of US$175 million.Responsibilities• Management and implementation of support functions including Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Transport and Logistics, Air operations, Building Management Services, Security, Communications and IT.• Provide executive advice, support and guidance for the project support team, covering 2,000 national and international staff working across Afghanistan.• Collaboration with the Head of Finance to ensure systems are in place to manage project fiscal activity including payroll, purchasing, account management, reconciliations and reporting.Key Achievements• I collaborated with a number of key departments to successfully action the following:o With the Head of Human Resources, I established systems and procedures to deploy and manage 2,000 staff.o With the Chief of Logistics, I established eight regional and 35 provincial offices throughout Afghanistan; and ensured the support operations, infrastructure and systems existed to service, fuel and deploy 2,500 vehicles.o With Air Operations, I managed three Mi8 heavy lift helicopters and 2 King Air B200 Aircraft.o With Procurement, I developed a coherent plan for the timely purchase of US$110 million worth project related materials and support equipment.o With the Head of Security, I ensured a complete security management plan for all staff and assets aimed at 100 per cent compliance and staff safety.• I ensured a draw down plan was in place to control staff, asset disposal/dispersal, finalisation of contracts and the development of a project archive and final reports.
