I was part of the Detection and Response group where we used the latest network monitoring software and engineering to maintain the safety and security of our company's assets and millions of patients' PHI. I provided real time Risk Management as a Tier 1 analyst and responded instantly to hacker and script kiddy attacks. I assisted in maintaining the correct permissions of our many 3rd party contractors so that access control and need-to-know was always enforced.   As a Network Administrator, my job is to manage the Barracuda firewall that connects our entire enterprise's VPN structure and houses our spam filter, intrusion prevention system, and NAS backup. I also monitor our network for service interruptions and respond in real time to any drops to our network connectivity from over 45 facilities in 5 states. I maintain the management utilities that we use to deploy our WiFi access points to the various facilities and I have built the access control lists that are embedded in the virtual controllers. In addition, I serve in a system administrator role by creating DNS entries, building and linking GPOs, setting security roles for file share access, managing print servers, and setting user and computer attributes in AD DS. Lastly, I am a Tier 3 Help Desk specialist and am the last line of resolution for any tickets or incidents that are given to me, usually because they require specialized knowledge of our systems or administrative access.
