  APICHA is a federally-qualified health center (FQHC) located in Chinatown, Manhattan. Project Connect provides programming, education and resources that serve LGBTQ Asian and Pacific Islanders. Project Connect is a program created to improve health outcomes for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and intersex (LGBTQI) Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities throughout New York City. Project Connect’s goals are as follows: 1) Increase access and improve the quality of health and human services to LGBTQI AΠ 2) Address homophobia and raise awareness of and support for LGBTQI AΠ and 3) Empower LGBTQI API individuals and families, thereby, improving their overall health and well-being. Position Summary:The Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating all aspects of the programs and services offered through Project Connect which includes monthly health and wellness workshops, a youth mentorship for empowerment program, and LGBTQI API sensitivity trainings to health and human service providers.
