      As the Human Resources Assistant, I took the first steps in developing a company handbook for all branches of Simple Health. Ensuring that we were compliant with all Federal and State regulations, I edited the forty three page document and created policies for time off, progressive discipline, and outlined the medical and personal leave policies that were previously missing. In my short tenure as the Human Resources Assistant, I worked closely with the Human Resources Manager to create a retention plan for our sales team. This involved speaking with the staff for their input, streamlining the on-boarding process for manager and employee ease, as well as creating events to celebrate the employees. Not only did I perform a full I-9 audit, which revealed many risks that we remedied to remove the possibility of a $30K fine due to non-compliance, I shifted the organization from a primarily paper filing system to a 100% electronic system. This involved utilizing Paycom's document keeping methods as well as recreating certain files within our personal system, reducing the visibility of confidential documents of employees, and combing through every employee file, both past and present, to ensure nothing was overlooked.       Working for a national medical staffing company, I have experience handling a multitude of requirements due to company, state, and specific facility requirements. I work remotely with candidates all over the country to help prepare them for their assignments, sometimes far in advance while sometimes needing to be completed in as little as twenty-four hours.Once placed, it is my job to ensure our candidates and employees remain compliant with all regulations. This means keeping track of all expiring medical documents, professional licenses, and keeping them up to date on all the required training per state and facility requirements. I use online programs as well as personal communication to stay up to date myself, working alongside one other compliance coordinator to handle the entire company's compliance needs. I have also taken the initiative to input all compliance and credentialing needs for all new companies, new locations, as well as updating all we currently have in a new, online on-boarding system. This process includes calling state boards of all disciplines, working with administrative and compliance staff, as well as setting up state-specific accounts for new background, fingerprinting, and training requirements for our employees. This position is very quick paced and utilizes strong communication skills and planning. I have deadlines that are only my own and need to keep track of new applicants, candidates, and current employee needs daily to ensure Centra is compliant at all times. My current goal is to work with the company's owner to have us Joint Commission Certified.
