      Busines development and marketing intern

      • I created a Business Development Improvement Project; whereby I carried out thorough desk research, interviews and surveys on the best and worst practices in business development. The result was a conclusive report and presentation to a management team with suggestions on how they could improve.• Dealt with the upkeep of the marketing teams content management systems such as WordPress- I updated policies for Catch22’s Education Academy’s to ensure they were ready for Ofsted inspections. • Created a timeline of milestones and goals for a campaign to assist a fundraising team in launching their campaign. • Kept the companies Intranet up to date; this meant I was responsible for 900 users access to the company’s resources. • Adhered to deadlines for each project throughout. Resource and tasking coordinator - placement year

Resource Management Office: (Throughout the placement year)- Despite working with several HR teams, I remained part of the RMO throughout. Work within this team included scheduling strategic meetings and taking actions/ minutes, editing the HR nominal roll to ensure all staff are in the correct positions, creating pivot tables to represent large data sets such as officer sick days over the course of several years, and assisting with events such as the HR Grievance conference, alongside much more. Talent & Resourcing: (November 2018 - January 2019)- Whilst working with the talent team, I paper sifted applications for the Direct Entry Inspectors scheme, assisting in deciding who was ready to be promoted based off of a specific framework. This allowed me to gain an inside look at what candidates do while taking part in this scheme, as well as an understanding of what it takes to become a successful inspector within the met. Day to day tasks also involved the creation of spreadsheets regarding topics such as deferrals from schemes and reasons behind this. Recruitment: (February 2019 - April 2019)- This attachment within my placement involved attending a wide range of recruitment meetings, such as with the Brit school, to discuss using students as actors in part of the Met's recruitment process. My role also involved editing and sending out communications to candidates applying to Head of Continuous Policing and Improvement command, inviting them to an interview panel, as well as researching and creating a spreadsheet with market research around what three different companies offered when organizing and implementing campaign plans for assessment centres.
