  Following my MSc. in Neuropharmacology I undertook a 3 month study in pharmacology working under Dr. Michelle Roche BSc., MSc., PhD. I conducted research in the area of the pharmacological and behavioral effects of stress. My duties included the following:- Conducting extensive literary research on various aspects of neuropharmacology, physiology and toxicology. - Planning effective and efficient experimental designs and protocol- Conducting laboratory procedures such as western blotting, ELISA and immunohistochemistry. - Following laboratory protocol and safety procedures- Working with PhD students to conduct both laboratory research and statistical analysis- Training Medicine and Physiology students on laboratory procedures Show less
