      Director of create thailand - media training centre

      I successfully established the Create Thailand media training centre and the School of Frontier Media which was an internationally accredited course and facilitated production of bespoke resources for field workers using the arts and media. I recruited and trained international staff and volunteer students and booked international speakers. I initiated a new visual arts stream which continued in the centres. I also developed and taught a two week drawing course for another school within the training centre. Show less

I briefed the external venue’s hospitality team and external film crew, created workshops and directed stage-management. I created print and digital resources for the charity’s volunteer network and recruited, trained and mentored a new volunteer manager to oversee office volunteers which has increased diversity in the charity.

      As Development Officer and print manager, I improved all aspects of the schools' programme from communications to training resources. I was responsible for digital shop stock and digital communications including resources (books, guides, leaflets, merchandise), newsletters and marketing campaigns from initial concept, through design and print to delivery. I created the concept of a complex bi-lingual celebration pack for volunteers to use for fundraising and created the content for a primary schools’ story and picture competition. Appointed as the Society’s Deputy Safeguarding Officer, I regularly attended safeguarding conferences, updated the policy and provided advice and guidance to staff and national volunteers. Show less

      As a volunteer trustee, I currently manage the volunteers’ policies, rota and communications for the gallery. As manager, I was responsible for all aspects of running the gallery and managing Artweeks* overseeing communications to 170 artists and 700 on the mailing list. I established a more efficient booking process for sitting times and restructured the staff and volunteer handbooks. I also set up a WhatsApp group for reserve volunteers and trained them in gallery management. I have newly promoted the gallery exhibitions in several print and online publications. I manage the jobs from brief to delivery including print and project management. As a key contact for communications both internally and externally, I ensure projects are briefed, on brand and on time. I book freelancers and printers onto the financial system and create purchase orders and ensure projects are completed and archived reliably.
