  I assist various professors in a first-year cornerstone course called Empirical Analyses (EA50/51), which is designed to introduce and apply scientific thinking skills across all academic fields. The course includes evidence-based problem-solving frameworks, research design, scientific modeling, cognitive biases, and survey design.My current work includes:- Grading 40+ weekly poll assessments and writing constructive feedback to students - Hosting weekly office hours to address questions and provide personalized feedback to students' work- Grading makeup work for students who were unable to attend class- Test running new assignments and providing feedback to the faculty- Create a grading guide for peer TAs, based on qualitative analyses of poll responses and feedback from past iterations of Empirical Analyses Show less The Habits of Mind and Foundational Concepts (HCs) are a set of learning tools that are generally applicable to all majors. All first-year students take foundational courses to learn HCs, which are then used to deepen their understanding in subsequent courses throughout the undergraduate program. The aims of developing an HC Handbook are to:- Facilitate revision for upperclassmen (who may need to review HCs as they take higher-level courses)- Standardize HC understandings and expectations across students and faculty across all colleges- Help non-academic staff understand Minerva's academic framework as they curate experiential education programsI lead the section on Empirical Analyses (EA50/51), which consists of 21 HCs associated with the core competency "Thinking Creatively." My work includes:- Conduct qualitative analyses on 1000+ written feedback comments by professors and TAs in past courses to identify common patterns of mistakes and strong applications- Review assigned pre-class readings in Empirical Analyses to write self-study questions and guided reflection on HC applications- Create 21 customized whitepapers, one for each HC. Some of the areas include scientific problem-solving and research design elements- Research on HC applications beyond academic courses, such as the role of simulation games (like SimCity) in urban design- Collect feedback from faculty on preliminary work products- Cross-check HC whitepapers written by peer developers on other cornerstone courses, including Formal Analyses (FA50/51), Multimodal Communications (MC50/51), and Complex Systems (CX50/51) Show less

  I worked with Dr. Patricia Marconi in the Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences Lab, specifically on a bioremediation project. The study focuses on the role of Chlorella vulgaris, a green microalgae species, in reducing the Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) of a honey processing factory's residual wastewater in Tigre, BA, such that the wastewater can be safely discharged into natural water sources without environmental pollution. Throughout the project, I assisted in running wet lab procedures, including direct cell counting, spectrophotometry, centrifugation, and cell culture preparation. Show less
