  As an Assistant to the Human Resources Manager, I mainly handled any administrative tasks the company needed. During my time there, I performed an array of clerical duties including filing, faxing, answering phone calls, screening visitors, arranging meetings and scheduling appointments. I was given small projects in addition to my secretarial duties once I started working full-time over the summer which included updating Material Safety Data Sheets in compliance with OSHA laws.   During college, I served as an Academic Mentor for Marshall University's Housing and Residence Life. The job roles were similar to that of a Resident Advisor but more focused on academic achievement for underclassmen. This position was part-time, and I left upon graduating.

  I began working at Dress for Success as a volunteer and intern, but I soon became a paid employee while attending college at Marshall University. As the Boutique Manager, I was able to serve clients by providing career building tools, suiting them in professional attire, and helping them find job openings to interview for that fit their skills. I also maintained the inflow and outflow of donations and provided administrative support for the boutique. I was responsible for managing a small group of volunteers on a regular basis.
