Shopify Local was a programme that engaged our merchants in their local communities in order to build relationships with our users and empower them to grow their businesses.Curated the New Zealand Shopify community strategy and regional activations to help our community of small to medium-sized merchants learn, grow, and connect.Over 40 owned IRL and virtual events, 5 business and marketing accelerators, trade shows, community collaborations, content creation, and email campaigns were all part of the strategy.Notable Events/Programs:"Monday Merchant Meetups" are weekly community meetings.Themes are rotated every week with a focus on five key areas of running an Ecommerce business.1. Increasing Traffic2. How to Boost Conversion3. Increasing Customer Retention4. Shopify Platform Training5. General Business Understanding"Thrive with Shopify." - 14 week invitation-only, virtual educational programme that provides e-commerce marketing fundamentals and an accountability framework to an ambitious community of Shopify businesses looking to scale their businesses. Personally worked with over 250 local businesses on a one-on-one basis, focusing on business strategy, goal setting, and product adoption to help them grow in their industry.Acted as the voice of the New Zealand Shopify community internally and and used this knowledge to amplify their businesses where possible. For instance, in blog posts, partnerships, product development, and so on.Collaboration with the global community / education team to ensure appropriate content was created.
