  As the head of the trade finance desk in one of the export dominant market, my role was to ensure that we provides efficient and timely support to exporters in meeting their trade finance needs. My responsibilities would include:Disbursement of Export Credit: My Team would be responsible for disbursing export credit to exporters for their working capital needs. This would require close coordination with the exporter, ensuring that all documentation is in place, and that the exporter meets all the necessary credit criteriaExport Collection: As part of my role ,I would also need to ensure that my Team provides efficient and timely export collection services to exporters. This would involve managing the entire process of collecting payment for the goods or services exported, from invoicing to receipt of payment.Timely GR Realization: Another key responsibility would be to ensure timely GR (Goods Received) realization for the exporter. This means that the exporter would receive payment for their goods as soon as they are received by the buyer.Direct / LC Letter of Credit Issuance / Confirmation: My Team would also need to provide direct and letter of credit (LC) services to exporters. This would involve issuing LCs, confirming LCs, and making payments under LCs as required.Bank Guarantees: My Team would also need to provide foreign and domestic bank guarantees to bank clients. This would require ,me to work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and provide the appropriate guarantees.Overall, My role as the Manager of the trade finance desk was critical in providing the necessary support to Bank clients in their export activities, ensuring that they receive timely and efficient trade finance services to meet their business objectives.
