Daily I preformed tasks of one on one assistance and direction for children that had elevated needs in order to see that they enjoy their summer to the fullest. I encouraged the child daily with word edification, calm redirection as well as worked closely with the child's parents to see they were receiving the support the needed in areas the parent was comfortable with. I worked with fellow staff members to problem solve in areas of frustration with other one on one campers through my obtuse knowledge of this population. I was able to offer creative ideas for staff to keep kids focused and lead the way by setting the tone for the group through strong leadership and confidence in direction of discipline and reinforcement. I also was able to assist in an emergency situation as being the first staff to the scene and orchestration the proper procedures be done in order to keep the kids and staff safe. Seeing to this other staff members immediate assistance and best chance for a fast recovery. Show less
