We specialize in sustainable and ornamental aquaculture, offering services in aquariums, aquaponics, water-gardens, general fisheries consultation, lake management/stocking, and fish health diagnosis. Our business is publicly recognized for designing unique luxury aquarium exhibits and supplying aquarists with sustainably produced, imported or captive-bred species. Our subsidiary, Musicquarium LLC, extends our mission by providing social and emotional support through Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs), field trips, pop-up educational events, and Marine Biology, Agriculture/Aquaculture STEM based workshops at local educational institutions. Musicquarium mentors students, at-risk youth, and previously incarcerated individuals in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and mental health, promoting academic and professional advancement in STEM fields related to aquaculture, agriculture, food production, natural resources, and biology.David Zachary Bush, our founder, is an ichthyologist and certified urban gardener endorsed in Aquaculture & Agriculture - Career and Technical Education statewide. Instructs students in large classroom settings as well as small groups to expand knowledge of scientific method and biological sciences. Mentors a specific case load of 150 young men through their Junior and Senior year of Highschool with the goal to help cultivate and improve self advocacy, healthy emotional behavior, and productive relationships through etiquette workshops, college visits, and after school group activities. Leads and facilitate weekly counseling groups during the school-day, utilizing youth engagement, clinical counseling and men's rights of passage skills. Develops additional engaging social and emotional programing for Black & Latino students relative to STEM studies. Created the first Urban Agricultural program at Waukegan Highschool producing fruits, vegetables and tilapia. Transformed idle spaces within the school into aquatic sensory rooms for overwhelmed students.
