Developer - Be The Hero Project

I had the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the success of the Be The Hero project. This project represents an initiative aimed at connecting NGOs in need of assistance with willing contributors, providing an efficient platform for this connection. Be The Hero was developed using Node.js on the back-end, ReactJS on the front-end, and React Native for the mobile application. My strategic involvement in this project included the judicious application of various technologies to achieve our goals:- Robust Backend: We developed a robust RESTful API using Node.js and Express, ensuring high performance and scalability. Integration with an SQLite database through Knex allowed for efficient data storage.- Data Validation: I implemented data validation in the API routes, ensuring data integrity and security using the Celebrate library.- Quality Testing: I contributed to code quality by implementing unit and integration tests using Jest and Supertest libraries, ensuring that the system worked reliably and without errors.- Intuitive Website: I collaborated on the development of the website's frontend using ReactJS, creating an intuitive and responsive interface that facilitated navigation for NGOs and users.- Accessible Mobile App: I worked on the development of the mobile application using React Native and Expo, ensuring that the platform was accessible to a broad audience, regardless of the device they were using.
