  Worked as Level 2 VTAM network product support. It was here, I learned IBM's Operating Systems, such as VM, VSE, and MVS. My main responsibilities were helping global IBM customers with diagnosing and debugging the mainframe network software, VTAM. If problems were found in the code, I had to gather the correct documentation to show the problem, so VTAM change team could resolve the issue. I grew accustomed to working with customers 24x7 to resolve critical issues and thinking out of the box, all the while working under pressure from management for a fast resolution. I worked with vendors (Cisco, CA, Candle) and other IBM components (NCP, CICS, DB2, MQ/Series, etc.) to resolve customer's networking issues. I also got an opportunity to develop the VTAM XCF code found in the product today, while on loan to the VTAM development team. Show less
