  Senior software qa engineer

  I worked on IBM’s DataConnect SaaS offering where we followed a continuous delivery model, updating production instances in each data centre weekly. Key to this process was having software in a production ready state and this meant a large reliance on automated testing. The automated testing fell into using Selenium grid to automate our Web UI and eclipse based in house java test framework to automate our REST API level. My responsibilities included defining test strategy, planning and distributing work, automating tests, working closely with dev and other QA engineers locally and globally, and reporting issues and results.I worked on the ETL / Datawarehousing tool from client-server, through Hybrid and into the cloud. My last area was working on IBM’s DataConnect SaaS offering.
