      Hired to conduct a conditions assessment of the Chandler Fireplace at the former Whitney Studio in Greenwich Village, NY. Sampled, mounted, polished, and microscopically analyzed extracted samples from fireplace in order to determine the historic finishes and architectural materials used on the structure. Utilized Scanning Electron Microscopy and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy to analyze various finish layers within each extracted sample to better understand the history of the fireplace.       Performed conservation site work consisting of cleaning, consolidating, and patching historic material such as stone, plaster, and metal, reopening joints, and performing material cleaning tests in order to determine the best method in restoring historic material.Conducted extensive conditions assessments of historic interiors and exteriors which involves mapping various deterioration conditions onto drawings.
