      Activities and Societies: Biology Club Golden Key International Honours Society, UNBC Chapter This was a 15 day intensive field school held in Panama. The course was offered and conducted with the support of the Institute for Tropical Ecology and Conservation in Bocas Del Toro, Panama.The course provided hands on field experience in a tropical environment. Activities included: snorkeling fish surveys on coral reefs, Leaf-Cutter Ant surveys, Tree climbing, vegetation plots, as well as an independent research project on a chosen tropical species

Starting with a week long trip up to Logan Lake, where were constructed three wetlands that were a hybrid of surface water and ground water. The second year of the program was largely focused on our year long restoration plans. I worked with two fellow classmates on a restoration plan for a very urbanized riparian area around Windebank Creek in Mission BC. Show less
