      •Strategic direction and leadership for facilities master planning and infrastructure support on the Summit campus consisting of 90 acres, 13 buildings, 1.5 million square feet of occupied space for 3700 employees, and two division headquarters.•Manage the overall $20M Facilities Management M&R budget, including collaboration with finance to develop, track and continuously forecast budget compliance. •Lead a team of engineering professionals supporting the campus infrastructure and building utilities and R&D / Production operations. Prioritize and delegate project team assignments to comply with the long term site Master Plan. Annual project load for the team is 15-20 projects with a capital budget of $5-$7 MM•Overall development of long term site Master Plan and campus infrastructure strategy as well as technical support for the FM organization. •Manage campus central boiler and waste water treatment (WWTP) operations, including direct management of the operations manager and indirect management of 6 unionized boiler and WWTP operators. •Site Energy Manager, responsible for forecasting, budget development, tracking of major utilities (Gas, Water, Electricity) and coordination of energy demand response program. •Lead cross functional team aligned to reduce the overall carbon footprint of the campus and utilize technology, engineering solutions and innovation to drive a more efficient operation.•Strategic Project Manager, including overall project management, supervision of field engineers, project logistics planning, client coordination and management of CM contractors. •Managed $7M project to renovate R&D Lab Building to improve Flammable Solvent Controls•Managed $14M project to renovate Divisional Headquarters for Animal Health.•Participated in Collective Bargaining Negotiation of facilities unionized workforce. •Participant in 12 month training program internal to Merck to develop emerging leaders from within Merck’s Global Services group. Show less Responsibilities include support of maintenance and facility operations, facility project development and management, site Energy Team memberExperience:• Managed $12.2 MM project to support major Research Process Equipment Installation• Key Responsibilities included overall Project Management, supervision of field engineers and management of Construction Management contractor. • Installed and Commissioned lab scale process equipment including Fluid Bed Dryer, High Shear Granulator, Autoclave, Depyrogenation Oven and Walk in Freezer.• Renovation of Process Suites in an operating facility. • Managed Various Utility and Facility Improvement Projects• Managing $1 MM project to replace 4160V substation that supports 5 office buildings at the site. Responsibilities include overall project management, supervision of field engineers and management of General Contractor. Project is currently in Procurement Phase. • Managed $500K in Elevator Modernizations across the facility.  Scope included controls and machine upgrades necessary to meet current building and NFPA codes as well as cab and lobby upgrades to meet current building and ADA codes. • Managed $525K in Boiler House control upgrade projects to improve overall boiler operation efficiency and maintenance and operation reliability. Controls included upgraded burner control strategy and automation and conversion to a SCADA PLC boiler monitoring system.• Member of Summit Site Energy Team• Retrofit Parking Garage lighting from HID to Induction Lamp fixtures. Conversion to induction lamp reduced electrical burden of the garage and extended life of fixtures from 15,000 hours per lamp to 100,000 per lamp.• Support role for 1.8 Megawatt Summit site Photovoltaic Solar Panel installation. • Installed central utility metering system for the Site. Electric meters were installed throughout the site and with a central monitoring station.
