      Activities and Societies: Phi Kappa Psi fraternity I'm someone who is always open to new experiences, so when I was invited to join Greek life, I thought "why not." I enjoyed my time in the fraternity and got to participate in a lot of volunteerism. However, my family moved back to Chicago from Sioux City, IA, and coming back home to my birthplace with such a large creative and artistic community, I chose to remain in Chicago and transfer to Elmhurst University.

      Activities and Societies: Musician While I wasn't involved in clubs or societies, I was in a local Chicago musician that was gaining a lot of interest. Music was an outlet to showcase my creativity and writing skills. It also provided a crash course in marketing. From booking shows, to creating flyers and ads, to contacting and negotiating with clubs and agents, I got an education in relationship building that wasn't available in a school setting.
