      Having worked as an ELT Teacher for over 9 years, then as materials writer, proofreader and ELT consultant, becoming a development editor was a natural next step in my career. At Learning Factory, the publishing division of Cultura Inglesa Rio de Janeiro, one of the largest and most important English Language Teaching institutes in Brazil, I had the opportunity to take part in all the stages of the publishing process and develop various courses for the Brazilian and Latin American markets.◽ designed and developed a number of multi-level print and digital ELT coursebooks and materials for young learners, adolescents and adults ranging from basic to upper-intermediate levels, including a gamified four-level ELT coursebook series featuring an interactive whiteboard version and a gaming app for young learners.◽ supervised the production team to meet deadlines while handling the development of different projects by liaising with other editors, copyeditors, authors and suppliers to ensure successful publication.◽ consolidated thorough content-check before the publishing stage and provided continual feedback to freelancers and suppliers to improve content and maintain quality standards.◽ participated in materials implementation and teacher-training sessions.
