      Activities and Societies: Topic: Nozzle optimization study and measurements for a quasi-axisymmetric scramjet model at UQ. The project involved both numerical and experimental investigation of a quasi-axisymmetric scramjet model. My activity in this project was to measure the drag force on the scramjet model in Shock tunnel. Numerical simulation was also performed using an in-house code to compare to the experimental data. I also conducted the nozzle shape optimisation to achieve maximum thrust using Python. Responsibility related to the data science field:• Undertaking nozzle shape optimisation for the hypersonic air-breathing engineI performed optimisation study for the nozzle of the hypersonic air-breathing engine. The method that I used was kind of gradient descent method which widely used in the Machine Learning field.
