      Consultant & virtual assistant

As a consultant I did an analysis of the current administrative workflow, including a review of business goals, as well as a discussion of the Virtual Assistant skill set needed to accomplish business goals, and a discussion of current business software and web-based tools. This analysis also included a discussion of branding across internal and external forms and documents. We then updated the business organization chart to reflect current and projected business units and opportunities for growth. I put in place written processes and procedures, designed workflow forms, and instituted an efficient filing system. I updated the owner's CV so she could include it in her business plan and send it in her seminar package when she was called on to teach various aspects of photography to her colleagues. I re-designed the PowerPoint presentations used in teaching and provided design and delivery coaching. I took on special projects as a Virtual Assistant such as: uploading information to Eventbrite, Method and MailChimp, designing photography business brochure, formatting documents needed for website and for photography classes, and researching a CRM that would fit the business profile. Executive assistant for corporate culture, hr, education and finance

In a virtual company where most people work remotely, a robust Corporate Culture department is vital. Assisting the Corporate Culture VP afforded me the wonderful opportunity to be part of recognizing people for achievements, and also to come alongside them in stressful circumstances. Corporate Culture brought people together, celebrated teamwork, and emphasized bringing Quality to all aspects of our work. I enjoyed being part of that. Writing and editing the company newsletter, also a part of Corporate Culture was perfect for me. I enjoyed the interaction with people and telling a story through every article written and edited.Because of my organization and editing skills I was able to impact the company in many different ways not only in Corporate Culture but also in HR, Education and Finance. To support the VP of Education and HR, one of my major tasks was to handle the set-up of all Orientations including getting New Hire travel and onboarding paperwork completed. I also edited the Orientation Manual, which provided all the information a new hire would need in their first 90 days. In support of the VP of Finance, I maintained all files, including Corporate, AP Vendors, and State Withholding and Unemployment Taxes for all states represented by employees.Bringing organization to both paper (in the office and in storage) and electronic filing was important to the ability to be efficient and quickly and easily find what was needed. I was also able to help develop and enhance the collaborative process in Google and the process of storing permanent files in Salesforce Lightning interface. The ability to edit crosses every department in a company and I was pleased to be able to offer that to any department whether it was an email that needed to be sent out, a policy or prodedure that needed to be refined, or a training document that needed to be developed from a policy and procedure document. I was privileged to offer my skills in that area to be used as needed. Show less

      Independent consultant

I specialize in being able to bring order to any process. I have the ability to see how a process is being used and then chart a more efficient path to better use of materials, facilities, and people. Organization is my thing, but I am not one to upset the apple cart and turn things topsy turvy. I work within a company's current structure to figure out what will work best for the company from data entry to administrative roles to editing documents, books, and materials, for print and web use. I have also streamlined documentation processes and provided language translation processes. With a broad range of skills and a love of learning new things, I have been able to step in where needed and get the job done. Show less
