  My first ever paying job that gave me insight on how much I was NOT ready for a real "adult working life" from 9 - 5 (even though it was only a part time gig). I managed the pressures of customer service, whether that's to help find the last Twilight book in stock somewhere in the cooking section, or ringing up the cash register faster than customer's could complain about it and making sure I'm not short at the end of the shift (iykyk).A truly wonderful experience for a teen who found her love for reading later in life and wanted a tiny glimpse of what life beyond school might be like. I made a friend in one collegue who was willing to help a fresh high school grad learn the ropes of sorting book shipments, problem solve customer issues and deal with scary bosses which ultimately propelled me to go back to school.
