      After completion of Dropship Vendor stock update automation project, I took up an exciting Inventory Controller and Demand Planner role that has given me great experience within merchandising. My responsibilities grew in line with the rapid growth of the Worldstores business, I looked after the supply chain worth 20% of what was eventually £100M turnover. Responsibilities: Looking after Worldstores Inventory, ensuring maximum availability at all the times.Generating and analyzing Stock Valuation on weekly basis.Stock Age and Cover generations and analysis.Clearance activities to reduce slow moving stock.Weekly stock forecasting and planning. Show less At the time I joined Worldstores Group, company was offering nearly 1 million SKUs across 1600 dropship vendors on over 50 different websites. 25% of suppliers were providing either daily or weekly stock update in different formats and files, that had to be processed manually and uploaded onto our system. The biggest challenge in this role was how to manage large data effectively and vendor compliance.Achievements and responsibilities: • The role was project based with key objective of automating dropship vendor stock feeds. This was done by researching and outsourcing Pentaho Spoon Program, to create and deploy transforms that reduced time of processing daily stock updates. • In overall over 400 transforms were created by me, as well as maintained. This nearly eliminated any manual stock update processing, which gave me time to analyze reasons behind order lateness, cancellations due to unknown product outages and address, and resolve them by working closely with Ecommerce Team and vendors.• I held regular meetings with Buying Teams presenting them with weekly KPI pack and informing on vendors with compliance issues.• I created Supplier Stock Update Tracker that ensured we had a precise view of what vendors have assigned up for and any vendors not complying were easily identified and followed up promptly. • Improvements were measured by Just in Time product availability KPIs, as well as number of order cancellations and refunds due to out of stocks.
