As a Platoon Sergeant I am in charge of coordinating training, operations, and logistical support requirements for the organization I am with. I also supervise and assist in organizational training support to include maintaining training records, developing training plans and schedules. Directly responsible for the safety and supervision of a squad (15 personnel) as I coordinated with my supervisor for assigned missions and carried out the orders issued by my supervisor. I also was responsible for the discipline, training, control, conduct, and welfare of my squad at all times, as well as the condition, care, and effective use of our weapons and equipment. I was charged and assigned with being an example for my peers as I received more responsibility becoming a supervisor of 15 personnel. As a Designated Marksman I was considered a highly skilled marksman with duties ranging from clandestine reconnaissance, intelligence gathering, in depth reporting, and precision fire upon authorization from higher authority. Meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal upon graduation from boot camp at MCRD San Diego for demonstrating superior performance of duties during all phases of academic and military training through a twelve week period among a pool of 150 candidates.
