She was mainly responsible for activities related to the newly introduced mixed model line. Optimized the movement of parts across the plant to aid in control and monitoring of the parts.Role Description:› The PRASA mixed coaches line involved rebuilding, repairing and maintenance of the coaches where she worked together with her mentor to ensure continuous improvement and optimal operation of the line. › Responsible for developing accurate and effective task lists for the different stages on the line, as well as the related GANTT charts. › Spent time within the tools and parts stores where she worked alongside the division manager. She was exposed to planning and problem-solving from an entirely different perspective. While learning about the division and working with the division manager she initiated an automated means to control movement of parts and tools across the plant which would provide an improved handle of control. › Additionally, projects included facilities layouts and equipment movement planning & project coordination.
