  Responsibilities:Starting, synchronizing, load variation, fuel change-over for all the gas turbines from LCR (local control room), by operating the Mark-VI control system through monitor screen and with the coordination of CRO.I am responsible to make sure that the plant meets the maximum availability, reliability, efficiency, generation and cost targets, safely and within IMS environmental limits. I make sure the safe, reliable and economical operation of GT’s as per NCC load demand according to contract.As a shift In-charge, I lead chemical department to ensure proper specification of fuel oil and water chemistry of plant during shift hours.As a shift In-charge, I lead fuel department to maintain fuel oil stock and look after fuel oil treatment plant.To create, maintain and enhance effective working relationship between shift Operations & other departments.To ensure preparation of safety documents, shift reports and Plant Data sheets etc.To ensure that all the key parameters are being logged & to take corrective action in case of any deviation from the set values.To predict potential faults & report/ propose/ initiate the remedial action as appropriate.Responding to all station emergencies, like fire, Loss of Generation, Black out and any other incidents as per local procedures.To ensure the training & development of the team members to enhance their knowledge for the plant and safety.Attending the daily production meeting with operation and maintenance managers and engineers, discussing the problems and its solution.Calculation of plant performance and heat rate by computing the parameters as part of shift report.I am authorized for applying safety precautions for Mechanical Plant (Main Plant and BOP) and Electrical Apparatus for LV, MV and HV.I prepare routine shutdown & trips data by calculating equivalent operating hours of the Gas Turbine Factored fired hours and this data is used for outage planning.
